Today at work I found out that I was going to take the ACI
test. The ACI certificate is mandatory when it comes to testing and sampling
concrete. PSI is going to be paying for
me to take the exam. The exam consists of three parts. The written exam witch
is broken down in seven different sections. I have to score at least 60% on
each section and at least 70% overall. The written exam is all multiple choice
so that helps make it a little easier, but by no means is easy. The second part
is the practical hands on section. The practical section is what I am really
stressing about because I have to perform all seven test in perfect order. If I
do one step wrong on a test more than twice then I fail the practical hands on
section! The pressure is high for me! The last section is the verbal section.
The verbal section consist of explaining the steps of sampling and testing
concrete. I am defiantly going to study hard for the test. I want to make my
company proud and I know it coast a lot of money to take the test too. I will
be studying like crazy this week for the test.
Good luck with your test. As hard as it sounds like you are working at everything else, you will do great.
